Rafae is the Head of Security and Privacy at HealthTap, a startup on a mission to deliver healthcare for everyone- at the right time, right place, and right cost. He is responsible for building a metrics-based security program on a limited budget, creating and executing a security strategy, and working with both external and internal stakeholders (such as security vendors and dev ops team) to roll out security tools that advance the goals of information security yet do not impede the agile development process. Rafae has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, is a published author, and a part-time educator.
